Nairobi - Violence is a strategy by ODM to ensure that Kenyans live in perpetual fear, Jubilee Coalition MPs has accused the Orange Party.
The MPs were speaking Thursday in Nairobi in condemnation of a video released of the ODM Nairobi Branch Chairman George Aladwa was caught on camera saying that there would be death if the 2017 General Elections were stolen from the party leader Raila Odinga.
" For Raila Odinga to be President, people must die," he said Tuesday in Kibera during the Mashujaa Day celebrations.
Jubilee MPs says that the action by Aladwa is normal for ODM.
" As much as the remarks are reckless, careless, uncalled for, irresponsible and unfortunate it is not a surprise; it is a perpetuation of the ODM ideology," Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa said.
" We have witnessed ODM start violence, in its grassroots elections all over the country, against its own. We cannot allow them to export this ideology to the national stage," he added.
ODM is yet to officially comment on the matter.
The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions DPP has already asked that the 2 minute video in which Aladwa was captured be investigated by the Police.
