Jubilee to hold Uhuru Park rally Saturday
25 September 2015, 14:18
Nairobi - The Jubilee coalition has stated that it will hold a rally at Uhuru Park Saturday to counter a similar one held by the CORD coalition Wednesday.
The coalition says that it will hold the rally to show Kenyans that they are better than the CORD lot which has been spouting unhelpful information to Kenyans.
They say that the purpose of the rally will be to make sure that the things said by the CORD coalition during Wednesday's teachers solidarity rally are clarified.
" We will seek to tell Kenyans the truth about everything said by our rivals CORD," Starehe MP Maina Kamanda said of the rally.
He accused CORD of doing its best to ruin the government by using underhand methods and said that they do not have the best interests of Kenyans at heart.
" They are just noise-makers and do not have the best interests of Kenyans at heart," he added.
There are expected to be around 50 Jubilee coalition legislators in the rally.
It is not yet clear whether Deputy President William Ruto will attend, with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
