Jubilee candidate ready to accept Kajiado Central defeat
16 March 2015, 14:19
Nairobi - Jubilee Alliance Party JAP candidate in the Kajiado Central by election Patrick Tutui is ready to accept defeat if he fairly loses the poll.
Tutui takes on his CORD counterpart Memusi Kanchori and Kunchai Kashuma who is running as an independent candidate in the poll that took off Monday morning.
Tutui admits that it will be a tight election and says that as long as a fair result will be achieved, he will admit defeat.
" The important thing is that the election be free and fair. That is the only thing we ask for," he told News24.
" So far the indication is that things are running smoothly and we will have a good election," he added.
" There can only be one winner and as long as that winner has achieved the win in a fair and square manner, there is no reason I should not accept," he added.
39,545 voters are registered to vote in the election.
Polling stations will close at 5 PM local time.
