24 March 2015, 08:03
Nakuru - MPs allied to the Jubilee alliance have started lobbying for former minister and Tinderet MP Henry Kosgey to become the national chairman of the newly formed Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP).
The seven MPS from Nakuru County argue that Kosgey is a respected leader with immense political expertise that will be very helpful to the party.
Speaking at a press conference in Nakuru town, the MPs said that they will convince all Jubilee MPs to unanimously endorse Kosgey as the party’s chairperson.
"Kosgey is a national leader and he has earned respect from Kenyans and making him our chairman will help in portraying JAP as a national party. His experience is greatly needed by JAP as we head into 2017 elections," said Kimani Ngunjiri, the MP for Bahati.
