Nairobi - A Jubilee coalition MP has been accused of threatening to kill a woman for refusing to abort his four month pregnancy.
Juja MP Francis Waititu has been accused by a 25 year old woman if trying to force her to abort the pregnancy and has sent her several death threats as a result.
The lady, Martha Wanjiru recorded a statement with Kasarani Police Station Tuesday saying that she has been accosted by the MP, urging her to abort.
She has said that she is not keen on aborting.
The Mpesa agent in Kasarani told police that Waititu even asked her to seek a doctor to procure the abortion and that he sent her KES 20,000 which she wanted nothing to do with.
" We met at a stage while I was going home. he stopped and introduced himself as a doctor and we have known each other 13 months," the statement from Wanjiru that News24 saw read in part.
Wanjiru said in the statement that she had received a call from a hidden number urging her to seek an abortion or she would be in trouble.
" It was not him who called which is why I have come forward," she added.
This is not the first time Waititu has been in a similar spot of bother. He is also accused of having previously sexually harassed a salonist in the same Kasarani area last year.
