Joho's qualifications under the spotlight once again

Nairobi - Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho's university qualifications have come under scrutiny once again in a new petition filed in court.
Joho has severally fought off claims that his degree awarded at the Kampala International University is fake and thus rules him out of office as a governor as provided in the constitution.
Earlier suites against him have all been brushed aside though but this time, a voter claims to have enough evidence to prove Joho is not a degree holder.
A Janet Mbate now claims that she has sufficient evidence to prove that Joho does not hold a degree and claims that he should be charged for lying under oath.
" New evidence that will shed light on Mr Joho's educational status has surfaced and so I ask the court to grant me a hearing, she said in her submission.
She added that if her case was deemed valid, then Joho should be charged with perjury for lying under oath.
Joho insists that he is a valid student of the university and that university records prove so.
There have however been conflicting reports from the Kampala University over his degree, with some officials earlier querying Joho's degree but those allegations have since been proven to be untrue.
