'Msa is the most developing County'

Mombasa County has termed itself the most developing County compared to the other 46 Counties in the country.
This is according to the County administration headed by Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
According to the Governor, it is only in his County where multiple multimillion projects are ongoing with considerations that the Counties have not yet received their share of the National County funds for development.
The Governor added that his government not only intends to better Mombasa as a County but also at being the best County in terms of funds utilization come the end of the 2012/2013 financial year.
One the ongoing projects in the County is the construction of underground sewerage systems across the County.
This project is aimed at reducing the rate at which floods occur during the rainy season, considering the recent rains that caused havoc in various parts of the County and delaying the opening of several schools for second term.
Other projects include the expansion of the ferry docking zone at the Kenya Ferry Services and construction of the Municipal market.
The construction of a Police Station at the Frère town Police Patrol Base in Kisauni and the purchase of the fire engines to be distributed in all constituencies in the County is also underway.
The multi-project schemes, both the ongoing and those to come, are said to have caused a deficit in the budget of the County and sources say the County administrators aim at sourcing funds from the citizen to fill the deficit.
