Presidential hopeful Cyrus Jirongo will launch his vehicle to State House in Nairobi on 5th of August and not on 29th of July as it had been scheduled earlier.
Jirongo who was speaking at a rally in Kakamega on Saturday, when he announced that he had taken the move after discovering that his friends whom he had planned to work with had betrayed him.
He disagreed with those who say that the elections will be a two horse race saying, “We want to break the status quo in this country. We have been voting for many years but nothing seems to change because we do not change the government, we only change the faces.”
“We must restore fairness, invest in security and start projects that benefit the tax payers in this country,” he said.
He said that the joy of Luhya Community is to see their leaders united and working together but the leaders are not ready to agree. “It is upon you to identify the person you believe will fight for you courageously and will not be swayed or be given money and lose focus.”
