JSC in court to stop Uhuru's Ringeera appointment

Nairobi - The Judicial Service Commision has filed an application to stop the swearing in of a team that was set to probe the suspension of six Judicial officers.
The application was filed Monday in a Nairobi court to stop the swearing in of a team led by former anti-corruption chief Aaron Ringeera from taking charge of the committee appointed by president Uhuru Kenyatta.
The six commissioners were suspend by President Kenyatta following a petition passed by parliament.
Christine Mango, Florence Mwangangi, Emily Ominde, Ahmednasir Abdullahi, Mohammed
Warsame, Samuel Kobia are the six suspended officers.
The move by President Kenyatta has been received with anger by the opposition and civil society who have termed the move as unconstitutional.
