Nakuru - Kuresoi South MP, Zakayo Cheruiyot has said Deputy President William Ruto is unlikely to win the 2022 Presidential elections if he runs on a Jubilee ticket.
Speaking at a rally in Kuresoi on Sunday, Cheruiyot opened fresh attacks on Ruto backed by Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto who accused Jubilee of sidelining the South Rift region.
“The DP was here two weeks ago when I was out of the country and he attacked me but I want to openly tell him that JAP will not give him the Presidency in 2022 and he can take that to the bank,” said Cheruiyot.
On his part, Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto told DP Ruto to rethink his strategy if he wants to win the Presidency in 2022.

“JAP is not a strategy for 2022. It can only help them win 2017 but if the DP still wants to win in 2022, he will have to go back to the drawing board,” Rutto said.
Governor Rutto joined the sugar debate and castigated the government’s decision to import sugar from Uganda, saying it is a threat to the economy.
“I am surprised Uhuru entered into trade talks with Uganda while our own country produces sugar,” he said.
Cheruiyot said for the three years Uhuru and Ruto have been running the Jubilee government, nothing good has come out of it.
