Nyeri - Recruitment of members for Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) will kick off in June this year, Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has said.
According to Kamau, the exercise will run until December when the party will hold elections to appoint officials at national and grassroots levels.
Speaking in Kigumo constituency Thursday, the legislator said the party is gaining popularity at grassroots citing the case of Ferdinand Waititu who won the Kabete constituency seat by a big margin.
“I congratulate Waititu for being the first elected member of parliament for Kabete on a JAP ticket. This is a clear indication that the party is strong,” said Kamau.
He said the strategies that were used to win the Kabete MP seat and that of Oloolua ward representative, will be employed to ensure the president is re-elected into office come 2017.

“I’m determined that the party will be the strongest by 2017 and urge our people to come in large numbers and register as members of the party,” said the MP.
He dismissed a lobby group calling itself 'JAP Reloaded' which has come out to popularize and recruit members for the party saying the group is not from the leadership of the JAP.
“As leaders of JAP, we are not aware of the group calling itself ‘JAP reloaded’ because we have not sent anyone to advocate and campaign for party,” noted Kamau.
He said that political parties allied to JAP will be dissolved soon so as to make the party a united body.
