Nairobi - The Fire of Zamani star, Panchack Zamani, better known as Ice Prince, has signed a massive deal with the world’s largest recording studio, Universal.
He made the announcement through an interview conducted by Pulse magazine saying, "I recently signed with Universal Music Group".
The official announcement hasn’t been made yet according to the rapper.
"They will start first with my ‘I Swear’ track, which will be licensed in the UK, after which other tracks will follow", he said.
The rapper who was until recently signed with one of Africa’s biggest record labels, Chocolate City, is looking to broaden his wings into international waters, and this move is vital to this.
Music from Africa is becoming more and more popular across the world, evident through artists like Davido whose New York tour had to be shut down due to security concerns, after his fans closed two major roads, and couldn’t fit inside the venue.
