Nairobi - The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision IEBC chairman Isack Hassan says that he will not hesitate to resign over corruption allegations if he is informed.
Hassan has been embroiled in the Chicken Gate scandal that rocked the Commision and other government officials including Energy CS Davis Chirchir who were embroiled in the saga have stepped aside to allow investigations.
Hassan is yet to step aside as asked by president Uhuru Kenyatta last week and with others having already done so, pressure is on him to do the same.
The IEBC boss though, says he is waiting to see if he is in the report on corruption by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commision EACC before he makes his move.
" I will step aside as soon as the EACC states that my name is in the report," he said Monday.
" At the moment I do not know whether or not my name is in it and cannot depend on rumours, so as soon as I find out, I will make the next move, he added.
Hassan and five other persons have been accused of receiving bribes from a UK based printing firm to help them land an election 2013 tender.
He has already stated his innocence on the matter.
