Thousands of Internally Displaced Persons living in Central Province have written to United Nations in order for them to be recognized as refugees.
In a three page memorandum, the integrated IDPs want to be recognized as Internal Displaced Refugees so that they can be getting the benefits of refugees since the government has forsaken them.
The memorandum signed by the Central Province Coordinator Peter Gitahi said that the United Nations should take the IDPs as their orphans since the Government has failed.
“We request the organization to offer us the solution of living as we live in the life of misery. We live a life which is more difficult that those refugees in other camps like Daadab,” said the IDPs.
Gitahi said they need the United Nations Refugees attention since the government has fully neglected them.
