ICC activist is buying my constituents guns, laments MP

Kitale - Endebess MP, Robert Pukose wants renowned human rights activist Ken Wafula probed over allegations that he is arming a section of his constituents in Trans-Nzoia County.
Dr Pukose claimed the Eldoret-based activist who rose to fame over his involvement with International Criminial Court (ICC) witnesses is supplying guns to residents of Nabakhwana farm in Namwichula.
The lawmaker made the chilling revelations during Mashujaa Day celebrations in Endebess in presence of sub-county security chiefs and other leaders.
“I have no apologies on what I said on Mashujaa Day. Wafula should be thoroughly investigated. We have intelligence reports that he is inciting my constituency residents and he is even arming some of them at Nabakhwana farm,” the lawmaker told journalists on Monday.

But speaking separately to journalists as he reacted to the allegations, the ICC activist distanced himself from the claims by the legislator.
Wafula, who is also the Trans Nzoia Ford Kenya chairman explained that he has written a letter to the security agents including the Trans Nzoia county security teams, exonerating himself and calling for the MP to be probed over his utterances as well.
“I am disturbed by the allegations from the MP. Supplying guns to people to facilitate violence and war is a criminal offense. I have never even thought of owning a gun and this claim must be investigated,” the letter reads.
