Nairobi - Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba's bodyguard says he took the secret recording that encompassed CORD leader Raila Odinga and other leaders in a corruption scandal.
Corporal Bernard Odako admitted that he took the recording before the Powers and Privileges Committee on Thursday.
The bodyguard said that he was the one that initiated the secret recording of the alleged discussion between his boss, two MPs and Odinga.
Ababu has been implicated in a bribery scandal which he was allegedly involved in as the Public Accounts Committee PAC chairman.
Odako said that he took the phone to Ababu at their meeting with Odinga and MPs Junet Mohammed and Samuel Arama.
Ababu presented the 15 minute long recording to the Committee last week in a bid to clear his name of bribery allegations centering from efforts by Defence PS Mutea Iringo to clear his name of a PAC report on alleged corruption.
