'I did not fix Ruto at ICC', Karua protests

Nairobi - NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua says she will sue Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria for defaming her by saying that she fixed Deputy President William Ruto at the International Criminal Court ICC.
The declaration came a day after Kuria said that he and the then Justice Minister Karua helped seek witnesses to ensure Ruto was taken to the ICC and there was a case against him.
But in a rejoinder Monday, Karua vowed to sue Kuria for spoiling her name.
" I am shocked that an elected member of Parliament can bring forth such claims and at the moment I am seeking legal advice over the matter," she stated.
Kuria said that Karua had played a pivotal part in forcing Ruto into ICC contention.
" My sister Karua was a part of the plans to take the DP forward and she must explain herself," he added.
Karua says she has nothing to do with the allegations.
" There is need for proof from him. If he does not produce it, we will meet in court," Karua states.
The trial facing Ruto and journalist Joshua Sang is currently at a critical stage, with issues of witnesses and their evidence coming into play in recent weeks.
