How to spark back your libido after childbirth

Women are believed to have low sex drive compared to their male counterparts especially during pregnancy, after childbirth, when breast feeding or as they grow old. Hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy, just after having a baby and during breast-feeding can put a damper on sex drive.
Of course, hormones aren't the only factor for low libido during these times; other factors like fatigue, changes in body image and the pressures of pregnancy or caring for a new baby can all affect your sexual desire. Whatever you put in your stomach is important for your sex life.
Here are three foods that can help improve your sexual libido after child birth:
Eating chocolate leads to higher levels of desire, arousal, and sexual satisfaction. Chocolate contains a compound called phenyl ethylamine (PEA), which releases the same mood-altering endorphins that flood our bodies during sex and intensify feelings of attraction between two people. Eat a chocolate a day and activate those happiness hormone; share it with a loved one and double the fun.

A glass of wine may make you feel amorous, but too much alcohol can spoil your sex drive. The compounds that are present in red wine may actually enhance levels of sexual desire in women more than the chemicals found in other alcoholic beverages. Research has proved that the antioxidants found in red grapes help widen blood vessels which in turn increase blood flow to certain body parts, resulting in enhanced sexual drive. Women who drink a glass of red daily have higher levels of sexual desire and vaginal lubrication compared to those who sip other kinds of alcohol. Women who have problems getting in the mood may also want to try and spice up their bedroom experience by taking a glass of red wine daily.
Eat spicy food! They will get you in the mood. Garlic, chili peppers and ginger contain allicin, a compound that dilates blood vessels and the elasticity of blood vessels, making way for easier blood flow. Spicy food will not only help you reduce fat in your body but also enhance blood circulation. A healthy blood flow can do wonders for your libido as it increases circulation to your sexual organs.
