How to keep your man

06 February 2015, 12:07 Adams Langat

Nairobi - Maintaining a man in any relationship is a thing that every woman strives to achieve.

However, achieving this dream is complicated that you can imagine.

Here are some tips on how to keep your man:

Give him the best food

It has always been said that the way to a man’s heart is through the stomach, so if you want your man not to think about the other woman that she left for you, give him nice food such that whenever he is out there, he only thinks about you and the nice food that you give him.

Up your sex game

When it comes to sex, try to give him the best using all manner of styles available. Whenever he's seduced by other women, he will always remember you are the best and come back home.

Avoid using kids as an excuse

Many ladies withdraw with the entry of children. This ought not to be the case. Your love for your husband is different from love for children, so do not mix up the two. Give each the attention and affection they need, always.

Allow him time with his friends

Most ladies say that they would like their husbands to be with them all the time and if they are not with them, they should be with the kids. However, this is a selfish desire. You are not a god to be worshipped all the time. Let him go out to interact with other men, learn and laugh and he will come back relaxed and bursting with fresh ideas.

Don’t try to change him

You married him because you loved and cherished him including his faults. If you did not change him before marriage, do not attempt afterwards because you will only end up hurt. Trying to change him might also make him resentful so just avoid it altogether and learn how to handle his shortcomings.

Never revenge

Whoever said tit for that is a fair game was definitely not talking about marriage as two wrongs do not make a right. Do not try to do anything to revenge. Forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself so reward yourself every time he wrongs you by letting go.

Be appreciative

Men do hate women who are always nagging and if you want to him, stop complaining and start appreciating small efforts. It is hard for a man to commit to marriage and so if he chose to settle down with you, you have reason enough to thanks him. Do not ever compare him with another person as this will hurt his ego. Instead, take every opportunity to say 'thank you'.
