House help steals KES 150 000

Nairobi - A 26-year-old woman is held at Thika police station awaiting trial for allegedly stealing KES 150 000 from her employer.
According to police sources, Jane Wairimu allegedly stole from her employer, Loise Njeri, in Makongeni Estate on the fringes of Thika town.
Wairimu was an employee of the complainant’s daughter, Grace Wairimu, who is a teacher in the United States of America.
She had visited them and stayed for a week and had some US dollars in her room.
The accused allegedly gained access to her bedroom and stole the money. She was arrested following investigations by police officers.
She is alleged to have banked some KES 54 000 in her Equity bank account, KES 36 000 banked in her relative’s account with the whereabouts of the rest of the money unknown.
