Homeboyz FC in search of a new coach, goalkeeper trainer

Nairobi - Following their promotion to Kenya Premier League and sudden demise of their coach Jared Ingutia, Homeboyz FC are now searching for a new coach.
The team is also looking for an assistant coach and a goalkeeper’s trainer.
“In our preparation as a team, we are currently looking for a qualified and experienced coach, his assistant and a goalkeeper’s trainer. This is an open chance for coaches as we look forward to playing in the Kenya Premier League next year,” said Cleophas Shimanyula, Homeboyz FC Chairman.
The Kakamega-based team is also seeking to sign 10 players as it looks to reinforce its squad in preparedness to challenge for next year's Kenya Premier League championship.
Speaking during thanksgiving ceremony for Homeboyz players in Bukhungu Stadium, Shimanyula explained that the team will hold a recruitment exercise next month.
“From December 12 to December 14, we will be recruiting players from national super league, national division 1 and form four school leavers. Come 15th to 17th the same month, we will start recruiting players currently playing in the premier league. The recruitment exercise will be here at Bukhungu Stadium,” he said.
The team seeks to strengthen their formidable squad with two goalkeepers, three defenders, three midfielders and two forwards.
“We have learnt from our past mistakes and we are not ready to go the relegation way again,” said the Team Manager Boniface Imbezi.
Meanwhile, the team Secretary General Giulbert Alushulah took a swipe at Kenya Premier League (KPL) over their opposition to an increased team league.
Alusholah observed that KPL was overstepping their mandate saying their main responsibility is administration.
“It's only Federation of Kenya Football (FKF) which is mandated by law to determine how many teams should be in the league. In fact, the sponsors have agreed to fund an 18 team league,” said Alusholah.
FKF wants to have a composition of 18 team league in 2015, a move that is vehemently opposed by KPL.
