High Court issues arrest warrant against journalist Walter Barasa

Nairobi - The High Court has issued a warrant of arrest against journalist Walter Barasa paving way for his extradition to the ICC.
Barasa is accused by the ICC and chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda of involvement in bribery of witnesses in deputy president William Ruto's case.
The order was placed Wednesday morning by High Court judge Richard Mwongo, who overruled an earlier arrest warrant that had been quashed by the same court.
It thus means that Barasa will likely end up at the Hague if the order is executed where he will face the wrath of the court for his role in the diminishing list of witnesses.
Barasa had earlier argued that there was no constitutional grounds for the arrest order to be executed by the government.
