The body of a 39-year-old man suspected to have been drowned by floods at Segera location in Laikipia East Dictrict is being searched by residents and the Laikipia East security team.
On Monday this week in the evening, George Maina who worked as a mason at Segera ranch, was accompanied by a colleague bound for Ngare Ng’iro shopping centre when the incident occurred.
“The current onset of heavy down pours in this region was the key factor that swept the victim”, said Mr. Njagi Kariuki, Segera Chief.
Kariuki suspects that the body which is missing for three days now could probably have reached Ewaso Nyiro river and has urged people downstream assist in locating it.
He added that jointly with the area residents, they are trying their level best to find the missing body.
