Nairobi - Harambee Stars players took part in sex orgies the day prior to the clash with Zambia, it has been revealed.
The Stars players, it has emerged, were part and parcel of an orgy the Saturday night before the clash with the Zambians at the Nyayo National Stadium.
They also allegedly took part in late night drinking and partying sessions that extended till early Sunday morning on the day of the match.
" They were out till basically morning and some came back with women. We were shocked that this was the national team with such an important game to be played," a security official at the Mvuli Hotel where the team stayed told News24.
The Stars lost 2-1 to the Zambians.
It has also emerged that there is an ongoing probe over the manner in which the players conducted themselves during the night and preceding days to the clash.
The Stars technical bench is compiling a report on the conduct of the players and has stated that it will take action on players found guilty of any wrong doings.
" The technical bench is holding investigations and we will take action for the sake of the name of the country," an official at the Football Kenya Federation that did not want to be named told News24.
