Nairobi - Months after the release of Pharell's “Happy Song”, the happy bug seems to still be strong in the country.
Companies and institutions have decided to release their own video versions of the song featuring their staff and employees, both senior and junior dancing to the funky tune of the song and being happy.
Some of the companies that have already made a version of their own include Safaricom and NTV and the latest addition to this group is The United States International University who released theirs over the weekend.
The university known for its excellent facilities, which include a very well stocked an up to date media lab for the journalism majors did not disappoint in this new video, with high quality footage and editing to make it one of the best versions of the song.
It features among others, Dr. Ella King the university chancellor, the USIU Flames basketball team, Professor Buyu (Chief of Acadamia) and Professor Freida Brown (Vice Chancellor). It also features hundreds of students in “Smiley face” t-shirts dancing to the tune and doing what the song suggests, which is being happy.
Watching this video will without a doubt make you happy, so check it out here:http://youtu.be/hdZT_zMfA_w
