HUAWEI launches world's slimmest smartphone

Nairobi - Chinese largest phone Maker, Huawei, on Tuesday launched the world’s slimmest phone - The Huawei Ascend P6, days after another major phone maker, LG, launched yet another smartphone, LG G2, into the East African Market as the competition in the tech world gains momentum.
While launching the 6.18mm smartphone, Safaricom head of Retail, Janet Atiga, said that the phone will be retailing at KES 41 999 from Safaricom shops, with the first 400 buyers also benefiting from a free 1.5 GB internet bundle.
“Our smartphones are reasonable in price, yet offer the latest technology and high quality performance,” said Atiga.
The smartphone weighs 120 grams and runs on Android 4.22, one of the highest rated operating system in the smartphone world with the user interface having enhanced security, smart reading, facial recognition and panoramic shots.
The device has a 5 MP front facing camera, 8 MP rear facing camera and is supported by a 200mAh battery in a metallic body.
The Ascend P6 has a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, with a 4.7 inch high definition in cell display and touch for enhanced responsiveness.
