Nairobi - Leaders from the Gusii region have paid CORD leader Raila Odinga a visit as they seek help from the former Prime Minister to fight development laxity in their region.
The former PM Odinga hosted the legislative leadership of Nyamira County at his Capitol Hill offices in Nairobi Thursday to deliberate on matters pertaining to the county.
The legislators included ODM National Treasurer Hon Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba), Hon Charles Geni (North Mugirango), Hon James Gesami (West Mugirango) and County MP Alice Chae.
The leaders put forward their case for the pivotal role that good governance plays in establishing lasting development urging the Premier to impress this upon the county executive.
On his part, the former Prime Minister pledged to visit Nyamira in the coming weeks not only to familiarize himself with these issues but also to ensure the county leadership is on the same page regarding the ODM manisfesto that was put to the voters in 2013.
