Nyeri - Four night guards have denied charges of robbing a nun at Mary Immaculate Hospital, Mweiga Nyeri County.
During the hearing of the case, Sister Jane Wangechi accused the guards of robbing her after breaking into the hospital convent.
Wangechi told a Nyeri court that the security guards entered the convent through a window after they broke the window panes and cut off the grills.

She then confronted them, asked them not to destroy any more property and offered to open the door for them.
The four men then demanded cash and her laptop, which she gave them before they left.
Sister Wangechi also told the court that the morning before the robbery, the institution had intended to change the guards owing to their poor service but the decision was postponed.
She added that the guards did not report the incident to the administration or police the following morning.
While giving her evidence before Resident Magistrate, John Aringo, the nun further said that the alarm could have been tampered with since they conducted regular checks on the alarm system.
