Govt urged to impound on noisy motorbikes

Nairobi - A cross-section of business people in Nakuru town want the county government to impound on motorbikes that produce a lot of noise in the town.
The business people said that some motorbikes cause a lot of noise pollution in the town adding that it has become so difficult for them to conduct business.
Speaking on Monday to the media in Nakuru town, Mark Kihare, a businessman said that they have tried to raise the issue with traffic police over the issue severally but nothing has been done so far.
“Our county government needs to impound on these noisy motorbikes because they cause a lot of disturbances,” he said.
Kihare said that most of the boda boda operators tamper with the engines of their motorbikes making them produce horrible noise.
He further said that something needs to be done urgently to curb the growing vice which threatens investors in the town.
