Nairobi - Bloomberg Philanthropies has donated two digital monitoring cameras to the Ministry of Transport as part of global road safety program during the launch of the National speed prevention campaign dubbed 'Slow Down, Speed Kills'.
The national speed prevention campaign was launched by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Transport in collaboration with World Health Organisation to create awareness among motorists on the risks of over speeding and reckless driving.
Speaking at the launch while receiving the traffic monitoring cameras, Principal Secretary Ministry of Health, Fred Segor, said the two additional cameras will help control accidents in future.
Segor urged pedestrians and drivers to use road signs to protect themselves against road carnage.
