Kericho - Kericho Governor Paul Kiprono Chepkwony has assured residents of security during the planned Saba Saba rally.
Chepkwony said police had been directed to conduct regular patrols in all parts of the county on that day.
“I urge all traders to go on with their businesses as usual,” he said.
He also reiterated his administration’s commitment towards improving health services in the region.
He said that the maternity wards at the Kericho District Hospital will be expanded so as to accommodate a larger number of expectant mothers.
“We understand that the maternity wing at this hospital is small and we have plans to expand it for it to accommodate a larger number of expectant mothers. We intend to improve health services in our county,” he pledged.
