Nyeri - The Government will seize property of those found dealing in illegal drugs, while transporters who allow their vehicles to transport illegal substances will lose the vehicles to the state, NACADA Chairman John Mututho has said.
Mututho said the government is keen to implement the Forfeiture of Criminal Proceeds Act to ensure that the dealers do not benefit from their ill-gotten wealth.
He further noted that NACADA is already tracking down several suspect ships that are believed to be used in ferrying illegal drugs, adding that their owners should expect to lose them if they are found to engage in the illicit trade.

“We are putting them on notice that we shall either hand over the vessels to the Kenya Navy for our use or sink them at sea,” he said while speaking to journalists in Nyeri town.
Mututho said NACADA is working closely with the Judiciary to fight drug trafficking.
