Nairobi - The government has frozen tenders worth over KES 288 billion that were irregularly procured outside the government's new e-system.
The initiative dubbed 'Operation Big Broom' was announced Monday in Nairobi by Devolution CS Ann Waiguru.
The move follows last week's insistence by president Uhuru Kenyatta that tendering not done under the e procurement system would be discarded.
