Nairobi - The government has denied accusations that they have arrested and hidden suspects of terror plots in the County, saying they have all the suspects arrested, in police stations.
There have been complaints and reports from members of the public that people have been collected by police officers and are nowhere to be found.
According to Haki Africa Executive Director Khalid Hussein, there are complaints that there are persons arrested that can not be traced.
" We have received complaints that some suspects have been arrested and are nowhere to be found, he said.
But according to Lamu County Commissioner Miiri Njenga, there are no such incidences and that those arrested by police have either in custody or have been released.
" Such reports are not true. All suspects arrested are under custody and we have the names and their families have been notified, he said.
" Others have been released at the same time, but we will investigate the claims, he added.
So far, over 100 persons have been arrested in conjunction with the killings in the County, which have seen over 100 people killed.
Lamu Governor Issa Timamy is the highest profile official to be arrested in the probe so far.
Two other suspects were arrested Monday in relation to killings in Gamba and Hindi areas which left 12 people dead late last month.
The two are expected to be charged in court Wednesday.
