Gotv announces 6th winner of 'Dunga Milli' promotion

16 April 2015, 14:28 Mike Munga

Nairobi - Surprise can beat even the strongest. This was the case for Charles Mwendwa Muroki when he received a surprise call from Gotv announcing his new status in the society.

The father of two just became the newest millionaire in town.

"I had never in my wildest dreams imagined that one day I would be a million shillings richer, but on the 10th of April this year everything changed. I was going about my daily routine of selling goods in my small kiosk at Maua in Meru County when a friend told me about the ongoing Dunga Milli promotion. After three months, I decided to buy the Gotv decorder and today I am here to receive the cheque," Mwendwa said at the Multichoice offices in Westlands Nairobi.

Mwendwa has tried many ventures in life, including operating a hotel that earned him KES 30 000 a month, was short of words as he received the cheque.

Nonetheless, he said he would use the money to open hotel business, educate his children and buy a plot.

Mwendwa becomes the sixth winner of the competition as it draws to a close in two weeks time.

Everline Kerubo, an air hostess from Nairobi was the first winner, while Catherine Ndegwa from Kiambu and Meali Ali Vyakweli from Mombasa were the subsequent millionaires to be awarded.

The others who have won are Nancy Midecha from Kakamega County and Moses Nakonda.

Gotv General Manager, Felix Kyengo congratulated Mwendwa for going digital and wished him luck.
