Gospel artists on a ‘Safisha Tour’ in churches

12 March 2014, 16:39 Eugene Odanga

Nairobi - Some of Kenya’s fastest rising new age gospel artists are teaming up to go on a tour across 40 churches in the country, in what is dubbed the “Safisha Tour”.

The tour features KeleleTakatifu, known for their songs “Achana Na Mimi” and “Didimia”, Christ Cycoz, known for “Champion” and “Rise and Shine”, Dee, Winky Daily and Recap.

They are set to visit churches across the country on for 40 Sundays.

The tour began last week where they visited the Christian Church Westlands and is set to continue this Sunday.

“The idea behind the tour is to reach out to the youth in churches across the country and show them that it is possible to clean up your act through Jesus Christ. We want to deal with immorality at its root, motivate and encourage those who need it and show the ones who have already done a lot that it is still possible to clean themselves up and live decent lives through Jesus,” said Dambiz from Christ Cycoz in an interview conducted Wednesday morning.

For more details, check out the poster below, and keep up with the latest from the artists themselves on the tour via Facebook and twitter.
