Nairobi - Gospel artist, Papa Muyelele is on a mission to clean up the Muliro Gardens reputation after he shot his video in the gardens.
The gardens featured in both local and international news for being the epicenter of a massive public sex scandal featuring residents of the area.
The gardens desperately needed something good added to its rather shameful resume and this artist is spot on with his new track.
The song titled Welele Wange is performed in a mix of Kiswahili and Luhya, a language predominant in the western region of Kenya.
According to the video producers, 'Wele Wange is an Africa project, and a praise song to the creator of the Universe, WELE (GOD). In this video, Papa Muyelele, disguised as a politician, invades a village and leads the inhabitants in a praise party'.
With its upbeat tempo and funky tune, it is sure to break the airwaves and become a hit from this age.
The video already has over 1 000 YouTube views, a mix of the fact that it is actually quite good, and the media attention the song has received after the video shoot in the infamous gardens.
