Good Kenyan men end up with foreign women

14 September 2014, 17:19 Shakila Alivitsa

Nairobi - There are women in Kenya busy complaining that their men have left for pastures anew, and they are in plenty. We hear that Kenyan men are looking for Ugandan, Rwandese and Ethiopian women but we can do nothing about it. Simple scenario.

Kenny*40, leaves the house in the morning, in tow is baby Joanne as she is picked up by the bus to school, then Kim*30, loving housewife is left at home.  No, she is not going to clean the house, utensils or clothes. She is going to take the remote and watch the African version of Netflix for most women, Africa Magic. So Kenny comes back in the evening after a long day to find dinner not ready, at nine in the evening or if ready, a hurriedly assembled one.

There are some men out here in Kenya being fed crap every day by their significant other. She does not want to be given a business to run, she wants to sleep the whole day, eating, does not want to go to the gym and has a D- grade game in the bedroom.

So, is there something wrong with the Kenyan woman? I know there is nothing wrong with me, but I am honest enough to acknowledge that even within my circle, there are lazy women out here. Men like proactive women, and there is a line that has to be drawn. Of course you were not married to become someone’s maid, but when you let your run down because there was an African Magic marathon and he is out there trying to feed you and you want to do nothing but complain, then you have it coming.

Even I know from within my family, it is just hard to admit when we do wrong. We are too enlightened for our own good. It is a positive when we can never be allowed to be taken advantage off by the bad guy, but when there is this genuinely good guy that is taking care of you and you continuously feed him rubbish then our fellow East Africans are allowed to take him.

I hear the foreign (African) women are submissive, hard-working, protective and loving and most important, forward thinking. They give a man reason to wake up and go out to work hard and that is why more and more are heading out there to look for them and not us.
