Gladys Shollei was targeted at Judiciary

Nakuru - The chairman of Rift Valley Law Society of Kenya (LSK), Bernard Ng’etich, has said the sacking of former Judiciary Chief Registrar Gladys Shollei was illegal.
Ng’etich said that the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) should have accorded Shollei a public hearing as she had requested which was not granted to her.
“I don’t doubt the powers of JSC to sack but the commission should have granted Shollei a pubic hearing as she had requested to make her case,” he said.
Addressing the press on Monday afternoon, Ng'etich said that there was a process which should have been followed to sack Shollei.
"It would have been wise if JSC accorded her the public hearing to ascertain the truth," he added.
He also pointed out that the JSC has mismanaged the Judiciary in the country and that it is high time they are removed at the helm of the commission.
“The entire bosses should be removed from the commission and new ones appointed to carry on with their work,” he said.
