Give me time, Kidero pleads with Nairobians

Nairobi - Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero is pleading with Nairobians to give him time to ensure the ongoing changes in traffic flow are effected.
There has been massive traffic in the city since the County government effected changes to roundabouts, blocking a number of them off to try ensure increased traffic flow.
There has however been a recoil effect on Mombasa road and its environs, with users of the road spending hours on end to get to their places of work or residence and Kidero has pleaded with them to give him and his team time to effect changes.
" I know most of you are frustrated with traffic experience, especially those on Mombasa Road and its environs. Please bear with me as the traffic management and decongestion team constituted to ensure this works, is currently reviewing and working round the clock to ease traffic and ensure you get to your destinations in good time," he pleaded Monday.
The changes in the traffic system are expected to work better with the soon to be opening of the southern bypass next week, with Kidero asking the on site contractors to finish it up as soon as possible.
Nairobi loses close to KES 9 billion monthly through extended periods of traffic jams in the city.
