A middle-aged woman was on Monday arraigned in a Nyeri Senior Resident Magistrate court to answer charges of theft.
Eva Wanja Ndung’u was accused of stealing a laptop worth KES 49 999 at St. Consolata Catholic Church.
She allegedly stole the laptop that belonged to Jackline Muthoni Wang’ombe on November 18 during a church service.
However, the accused denied the charges before Magistrate Shadrack Okato.
The prosecutor Eunice Maingi requested that Eva be remanded at Nyeri Police station to facilitate further investigations on the matter.
The case was slated to continue once the investigations are over.
