Girl, grandfather mysteriously go missing in Njoro

Nakuru - Police in Nakuru are looking for an eight-year-old schoolgirl and her grandfather who were kidnapped in Njoro town 11 days ago and are yet to be found.
Anne Njoki, a class two pupil at Kerma Primary School in Njoro was left home with her aging grandfather, Daniel Mwangi on a Saturday only for them to go missing mysteriously.
Nakuru police boss, Bernard Kioko said that the whereabouts of the two is yet to be known.
“The report we have is that the girl left home on Saturday together with her grandfather but they never returned and we suspect they might have been kidnapped but to date no one has called the family to demand a ransom or something,” said Kioko.

Kioko however said they are holding one person who had called the family alleging to know where the girl was and demanding KES 1 000.
“We are holding one person who called the family demanding KES 1 000 claiming to know where the girl was but it later turned out to be a hoax,” he said.
