Nakuru - Two people were killed on Monday night by three unknown assailants in a pub at free area trading center in Nakuru along the Nairobi - Nakuru Highway.
The 9.30PM incident is believed to have been executed by three robbers among them a lady reportedly armed with an AK 47 rifle who invaded a bar and shot directly at three revelers.
According to Wilfred Owino, the three robbers entered the pub and started shooting to the three men who were making merry at the busy club.
“Everything was going on well as usual until these men walked into the club and started shooting,” Owino said.
The trio gangsters also made away with a laptop and unknown amount of money from the pub. One person was also injured in the attack and is currently nursing injuries at the Nakuru Provincial General Hospital.
Residents who were interviewed by media blamed insecurity on police officers' laziness considering that the incident occurred a few kilometres from Lanet district officer’s office.
They decried the rising insecurity in the area in the last one month and condemned local authorities for not acting quick to curb indiscipline cases in the area.
Police arrived at the scene 1 hour after the attack and took the deceased’s bodies to Nakuru municipal mortuary.
No senior police officer was available for comment.
