Gachagua's suit generates heat

Two men sustained injuries at Kimathi Street in Nyeri town on Thursday following a fight over regional politics.
The fight between the two young men reportedly emerged from differences in opinion concerning Nyeri county gubernatorial suit which has generated political heat in the county.
The two are said to have engaged in a heated verbal argument regarding to a gubernatorial poll petition which is expected to be determined on September 9.
According to witnesses, the young men who are renowned friends and casual labourers in the town were in their personal errands before causing the drama which stole the show of the town for about half an hour.
Witnesses further said the duo was just discussing the poll petition but had differing views with one of them supporting Governor Nderitu Gachagua, whilst the other was opposing his decision.
Members of the public suddenly spotted the young men grabbing each others shirts followed by an exchange of slaps and harsh insults.
The situation was quelled by members of the public.
