GSU and Kenya Prisons shine

The Mutai Cup Volleyball Tournament that has been ongoing  in Kericho town came to an end this past weekend.

The tournament which was solely sponsored by the Mutai enterprises of Kericho town, attracted all the major Volleyball clubs in Kenya. The tournament took three days with the final matches of the tournament held on Saturday.

The overall champion club of the tournament was the General Service Unit volleyball club who took the men’s title, while the Kenya Prisons were second.

In the women’s category Kenya Prisons womens team took the title with the Kenya Pipeline women team, who will be participating in the Africa Cup of Champion clubs in Volleyball in second place.

The Kabianga University took both the men’s and women’s titles in the colleges’ category.

Also present at the tournament was the East and Central African Schools volleyball champions, Cheptil High school from Nandi North District in the Nandi county, although they were not lucky this time around.
