Lugari - Four people who have been masquerading as police officers and terrorizing residents of Lugari in Kakamega have been arrested and will be arraigned in court Monday.
Confirming the incident, Lugari OCPD Bernard Macharia said the four were involved in the attack of 80-year-old Nangabo Masikini after breaking into his house.
“They threatened to kill the him and forced him to part with KES 10 000 as they claimed to be police officers on an operation. The four will be arraigned in court for impersonation and various offenses,” said Macharia.
Macharia urged the public to request for a service identification card from any police officer before allowing them to carry on with operations in their premises.
