Nyeri - Four family members have died after the vehicle they were traveling from Nairobi to Kirinyaga overturned and rolled several times at Nyangati area along Mwea-Kirinyaga-Embu road.
The vehicle, a Toyota Wish, overturned as the driver swerved to avoid a head on collision with an oncoming lorry.
Area OCPD, Titus Yoma said the family was escorting their daughter to a secondary school in Embu for third term.
Yoma said two people died on the spot while two others passed on at Kimbimbi hospital where they had been rushed for treatment.
