Four charged with possession of paper used to forge money

Nyahururu - Three men and one woman on Thursday appeared before a Nyahururu court charged with illegal possession of a paper used to forge money.
Joseph Kiarie Mbogo, William Muthui, Nathan Macharia and Virginia Wangare were together charged for committing the crime before resident magistrate Peter Muholi.
The charge sheet stated that on February 11, 2015 at Mairo Inya centre in Nyandarua County at around 2:00pm, the accused were found with 100 pieces of the paper worth KES 1 000 each with intention of making fake money.

Police from Mairo-Inya arrested the four following a tip off from the public.
They all pleaded not guilty of the offence and were released on KES 100 000 bond and a surety of similar amount each.
The hearing of the case will be on May 4, 2015 with a mention on February 26. They had not raised the bond by the time of going to the press.
