Nairobi - Former NTV anchor Rosemary Nankabirwa has died.
Former NTV Uganda English news anchor Rosemary Nankabirwa died Sunday morning after fighting cancer unsuccessfully.
The news leaves friends and well wishers heartbroken after Nankabirwa had fought hard to defeat adrenocortical carcinoma cancer, which is a very aggressive form of the disease.
Nankabirwa had been flown to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi Saturday afternoon after thousands of well-wishers responded to a car wash fundraising drive in Kampala to raise over USH 100 million for her treatment.
Her death left many of her colleagues both in Kenya and Uganda in a sad state as many described her as a very strong willed person and a woman of high spirits.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
