Former Limuru MP passes on

Nairobi - Former Limuru MP Kuria Kanyingi is dead.
The late MP passed on in India early Tuesday morning where he had spent three weeks seeking treatment. It is said that the illness, suspected to be cancer from News24 sources, was diagnosed a while back, it is understood.
Kanyingi served in Limuru from 2002- 2007.
" His death is a shock to us all as he was doing okay according to the reports we were receiving from India, Milton Njoroge, a family friend said.
Kanyingi was well known in his area as Mr money bags for his tendency to show up for harambee's with lots of money and his campaign tactics.
His family expects to have his body brought back home for burial by the weekend.
President Uhuru Kenyatta responded to his death with shock.
" He was a man loved by all and we all agree that he will leave a huge mark that will be hard to fill," he said.
